Our Work

Nix Residence

These young homeowners purchased this 1970’s home that was in desperate need of a kitchen transformation.  The space was long and narrow with limited storage and lots of unusable space.  The cabinets were old and there was limited countertop space for prep areas.  The flooring was original and in bad condition.  The overall kitchen was dark and dreary.  The kitchen was completely gutted to allow for the framing of a new large pantry and wine bar to maximize the usable space.  The original exit door was removed and the existing windows were relocated to make room for a small coffee bar with accent lighting.  New recess can lights brightened the entire area.  New shaker-style cabinets were installed with stainless steel countertops and integrated sink for added prep areas. Floating shelves provided open storage near the commercial grade gas range and subway tiles in a matte finish gave the kitchen a contemporary flair.  A pot filler was added above the range for convenience in cooking.  The original furr-downs and A/C ducts were removed and new exposed ductwork was installed to give the kitchen that industrial feel.  The flooring is a luxury vinyl plank for durability and ease of cleaning.
